Product Details
These qualities make it great cup by its self, but is also is a blending favorite at Rocky Mountain Roasting Co.
Jesuit missionaries introduced coffee to Guatemala in the 1750s; Germans who immigrated to the country after 1860 further developed the industry. Today much of the coffee is produced on 60,000 small family owned fincas and haciendas.
Coffee grows along the Pacific coast and along the range of Sierra Mountains that traverse the country, forming a line from the Rocky Mountains to the Andes. The majority of Guatemala’s crop is wet-processed Arabica, grown in volcanic soil at altitudes of 2,300 to 5,600 feet. Harvesting in Guatemala lasts from July through April.
